Max Clement Ross

Max Clement Ross is certified by the New York State Office of Mental Health and Dean’s Consortium of Social Work Practice for Evidence Based Practices.

He has contributed to supporting the well-being in our community within various sectors from private, community-based and government entities. Max was involved in supporting the Mayor’s program to reduce truancy and absenteeism with inner city children. While part of the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Teams, he provided in-vivo services to individuals and the families of those with severe and persistent mental illness. In addition, he coordinated with the Mayor’s office, other healthcare entities, courts, families and other vested parties in providing care and safety for not only the clients, but also the community at large. He was an adjunct lecturer at NYU Silver School of Social Work and is SIFI certified.

Max collaborated with the New York City Health+Hospitals to identify variables which may contribute to recidivism and factors which may promote adherence to care. As a Health and Recovery Plan (HARP) Care Manager, Max provided coordination for both clients and external treatment agencies to guide care to promote healthy outcomes. Part of his role as a  clinical supervisor of an Article 31 clinic involve in implementation of new policies, workflows and EHR integration for different sites.

Max believes everyone should have the same opportunity to experience a positive quality of life, love, success and growth. He provides a collaborative approach to identifying how clients can hone the skills that allow them to find purpose, embrace hope, and achieve their goals. He respects the reality of struggles and guides client in developing their own solutions. He believes in “life, liberty and pursuit of happiness,” and see therapy as an investment into make this a reality. He believes people are resilient and able to transcend beyond what society tells them to be.

In addition to his private practice, Max provides consultation to clinicians and organizations on best practices, healthcare trends, technology integration. He continues to research and refine techniques on synthesizing the mind-body processes in clinical work.
